Fond memories of the Kidd. Many a visit there, including one for the Social Studies Fair in middle school. My partner and I netted second place in the history category.

Nice that they put some perspective on what this might mean for permanent/semi-permanent living structures on the lunar surface. Though I think right now we can’t build anything capable of sustaining a 5-tons-of-TNT equivalent strike.
I have three of these cameras, this is one of the dead ones so I took it apart to discover the mechanical watch like components buried inside. Really quite amazing considering the direction cameras have taken full of circuit boards and sensors.
I enjoy well composed photos of cameras. And there’s also something so meta about that kind of shot.
